Notification of Completion of Commitments Required Prior to Entry into Period of Extended Operation (PEO), Associated with License Renewal for Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2,

Reference:

NUREG 1796, "Safety Evaluation Report Related to the License Renewal of the Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3 and Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2" The referenced letter identifies the commitments which are required to be completed before Dresden Unit 2 enters the PEO on December 23, 2009. Unit 2 License Condition 2.1 of the Renewed Facility Operating License for Dresden Unit 2 states that Exelon Generation Company, LLC shall notify the NRC in writing when implementation of these activities are complete and can be verified by NRC inspection.

The purpose of this letter is to notify the NRC that Exelon has completed implementation of those activities and they can be verified by inspection.
