ATTACHMENT 1 Response to Request for Additional Information In Reference 1, Exelon Generation Company, LLC, (EGC) requested amendments to Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-72 and NPF-77 for Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2, and Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-37 and NPF-66 for Byron Station, Units 1 and 2.

This request proposed to remove time, cycle, or modification-related items from the Operating Licenses and Technical Specifications. Additionally, the request proposed to make editorial and formatting changes.

In Reference 2, the NRC requested that EGC provide additional information to support their review of the subject License Amendment Request. The requested information is provided below.

NRC Request for Additional Information In reviewing the Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon's) submittal dated February 23, 2017 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML17055A631, related to the removal of obsolete license and technical specification items, for the Braidwood Station (Braidwood), Units 1 and 2, and Byron Station (Byron), Unit Nos. 1 and 2, the NRC staff has determined that the following information is needed in order to complete its review:

Item ID 14 in Table 2-1, renumbers CONDITIONs C and D to B and C respectively. The marked up Byron technical specification page 3.7.8 2 shows the renumbered CONDITIONS. The REQUIRE ACT1ONs C.1, D.1, and D.2 are not renumbered in the markup, nor are they identified in Table 2-1 as being renumbered. The amended REQUIRED ACTION numbering therefore does not match with the CONDITIONs. Clarify whether or not the REQUIRED ACTIONs should be renumbered to be consistent with the renumbering of CONDITIONs C and D.

Response

The REQUIRED ACTIONs should be renumbered to be consistent with the renumbering of CONDITIONs C and D. REQUIRED ACTIONs C.1, D.1, and D.2 should be B.1, C.1, and C.2, respectively.
