Letter from P. R. Simpson (Exelon Generation Company, LLC) to U. S. NRC, "Request for Exemption from 10 CFR 74.19(c)," dated August 16, 2004 In the Referenced letter Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) and AmerGen Energy Company, LLC (AmerGen) requested NRC approval of an exemption from a portion of the requirements of 10 CFR 74.19(c). This regulation requires each licensee to conduct a physical inventory of all special nuclear material in its possession under license at intervals not to exceed 12 months. The exemption requested a frequency extension of not more than 31 days each interval.

Teleconferences were held with the NRC on May 10, 2005, and June 7, 2005, to discuss specific aspects of this exemption request. Following these teleconferences, EGC and AmerGen have decided to withdraw the referenced exemption request.
