Victor Dricks (817) 860-8128 E-Mail: OPA4.Resource@nrc.gov Lara Uselding (817) 276-6519 NRC NAMES NEW RESIDENT INSPECTOR AT CALLAWAY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Zachary Hollcraft as the new resident inspector at the Callaway plant located near Fulton, Mo.

Zachary Hollcrafts background and experience will assist the NRC in carrying out its mission of protecting people and the environment and ensuring the safe operation of nuclear power plants, said NRC Region IV Administrator Elmo E.

Collins.

Hollcraft joined NRC Region IV in September 2009 as a project engineer. He has served on numerous inspection teams in the region and has served as a temporary resident inspector at the San Onofre nuclear generating station near San Clemente, Calif. Prior to joining the agency, he served as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. Hollcraft holds a bachelors degree in environmental geology from Purdue University and a masters degree in environmental engineering from Old Dominion University.

Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant site has at least two NRC resident inspectors.

Hollcraft joins senior resident inspector David Dumbacher. They serve as the agencys eyes and ears at the facility, conducting inspections and monitoring significant work projects.
