Victor Dricks, 817-200-1128 NRC Names New Resident Inspector at Callaway Nuclear Power Plant The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Scott Schwind as the new resident inspector at the Callaway nuclear power plant in Fulton, Missouri.
Schwind joined the NRC in 1997 and served as the resident inspector at the Indian Point 2, Comanche Peak, and the senior resident inspector at the Cooper nuclear power plants. He left the agency in 2007 and returned to the NRC in 2021.
Schwind holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and physics and a Master of Arts degree in theology. He is a Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Woodrow Wilson.
Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant site has at least two NRC resident inspectors.
Schwind joins senior resident inspector Dan Bradley at Callaway. They serve as the agencys eyes and ears at the facility, conducting inspections, monitoring significant work projects, and interacting with plant workers and the public.
