Victor Dricks: (817) 860-8128 E-Mail: OPA4.Resource@nrc.gov Lara Uselding: (817) 276-6519 NRC TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS DIABLO CANYON NUCLEAR POWER PLANT ISSUES The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold a public meeting on Sept. 22 to discuss the status of a documentation and plant design review being conducted at the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant, located near San Luis Obispo, Ca.
The meeting between NRC staff and Pacific Gas and Electric Co. officials will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 333 Madonna Road, in San Luis Obispo. PG&E officials will brief the NRC on their plan for a self-audit of design documentation issues.
The public is invited to observe the meeting and will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff after the business portion of the meeting.
