NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Subcommittee on Safety Research Program of the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has scheduled a meeting on July 17 in Rockville, Maryland.

The Subcommittee will meet at 1:00 p.m. in Conference Room 2B3 in the NRCs Two White Flint North Building at 11545 Rockville Pike.

The subcommittee will discuss the comments and recommendations included in the June 16 report entitled Core Research Capabilities and the response from the NRCs Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research.

Other aspects of the meeting, including an opportunity for public comment, will be described in a Notice of Meeting published in a forthcoming edition of the Federal Register.
