Brownville, NE Category: This is a Open meeting. Public participation is actively sought for this meeting to fully engage the public in a discussion of regulatory issues.

Purpose:

The NRC will discuss its assessment of safety performance at Cooper Nuclear Station during calendar year 2022, as described in the attached 2022 annual assessment letter.

The presentation will be given during a Brownville Town Council meeting. An NRC resident inspector will be available after the presentation to answer questions about the safety performance of the station and the NRC's role in ensuring safe plant operations.

NRC External Region IV Public Brownville Town Council Members, Other Interested Members of the Public Docket No: 05000298 Comments: The purpose of this type of meeting is for the NRC to meet with representatives from one or more groups in an open and transparent manner to discuss regulatory and technical matters. The meeting will inform the public by providing information to help them understand the applicable regulatory issues and NRC actions. The NRCs annual assessment letter regarding Cooper Nuclear Station performance during 2022 can be found using ADAMS Accession No. ML23055B071.
