Meeting with the Electric Power Research Institute to Discuss Use of the Extremely Low Probability of Rupture Code for Loss-of-Coolant Accident Frequency Estimates Date(s) and Time(s): June 14, 2022, 01:00 PM to 04:30 PM ET Location: Two White Flint North, 6th Floor, Room D02 11545 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD Category: This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

Discuss technical aspects concerning use of the Extremely Low Probability of Rupture (xLPR) probabilistic fracture mechanics code to inform loss-of-coolant accident frequency estimates and related regulatory applications. Specific topics for discussion are provided in the agenda to this announcement.
