Title:

Winter 2020 International Workshop on Age-Related Degradation of Cables Date(s) and Time(s): January 23, 2020, 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM Location: NRC Two White Flint North, Auditorium 11545 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD Category: This is a Category 3 meeting. Public participation is actively sought for this meeting to fully engage the public in a discussion of regulatory issues.

Purpose:

On January 23, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will host the Winter 2020 International Workshop on Age-Related Degradation of Cables. RES and NRR staff will participate, along with contractors (PNNL, ORNL, NIST), EPRI, and some U.S. utilities.

The international nuclear community will be represented by Sweden, Belgium, Croatia, Slovenia, and Japan. Topics will include the state of knowledge, operating experience and research activities related to the aging management for electrical cables in nuclear power plants including long-term operation up to 80 years.
