Based upon conference calls held with the Staff on February 16, 2007, FPL Energy Duane Arnold also submitted the Reference 2 relief request regarding the 'subject ISI examinations at'the"DAEC.

The NRC Staff has subsequently verbally granted the Reference 2 relief request in a conference call on March 6, 2007. Consequently, FPL Energy Duane Arnold 4cwi

NG-07-0255 March 15, 2007 Page 2 of 2 no longer requires the Reference 1 relief and hereby withdraws that application.

This letter contains no new commitments and no revisions to existing commitments.
