-"Submittal of Updated Final Safety Analysis Report, Revision 48," dated September 14, 2015 By letter dated September 14, 2015 (Reference), Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon)submitted Revision 48 of the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant (CCNPP) in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.71 (e)(4) and 10 CFR 50.4(b)(6).
Subsequently, various administrative discrepancies were identified in the referenced UFSAR Revision 48 update for CCNPP. This UFSAR revision was a first time evolution during the transition from the former Constellation Energy updating process to the current Exelon updating process. Some of the issues identified involved formatting, pagination, renditioning, and other administrative discrepancies.
As a result, Exelon is submitting a complete amended update to Revision 48 of the CCNPP UFSAR in order to correct and address the discrepancies.
The enclosed amended UPSAR revision is being provided to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in electronic format on CD-ROM. The electronic version of this amended UFSAR revision is being submitted in entirety in accordance with 10 CFR 50.4(b)(6) and is a complete document, Which constitutes a total replacement copy.pJ U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Submittal of Amended CCNPP UFSAR Revision 48 NRC Docket Nos. 50-317 and 50-318 January 26, 2016 Page 2 The September 14, 2015, letter also included a summary related to any structures, systems, or components newly identified that would have been subject to an aging management review or evaluation of time-limited aging analyses.
Additionally, the submittal included a brief summary of the changes incorporated into UFSAR Revision 48 as well as a summary of any commitment changes. This amended UFSAR Revision 48 update does not modify or revise this information and these summary discussions remain unchanged.
The attachment to this letter includes file directory structure information identifying directory path, filename, and size of the individual files on the enclosed CD-ROM for the amended UFSAR Revision 48 update.As required by 10OCFR50.71 (e)(2)(i), I certify that to the best of my knowledge, the information contained in the enclosure to this letter accurately reflects information and analyses submitted to the NRC, or prepared pursuant to NRC requirements as described above.If you have any questions or require further information, please contact Richard Gropp at (610) 765-5557.Rsctfully, David T.
