Dear Ms. Liu,

we herewith submit the proprietary version of the safety analysis report (SAR) for the DN30-X package 0045-BSH-2020-001 (Rev. 4) in accordance with 10 CFR 71, 49 CFR 173 and 10 CFR 2.390, in order to request the renewal of CoC USA/9388/AF-96.

The renewal is necessary to implement the removal of the housing of the valve protecting device from the design of the DN30 PSP (see also CoC USA-9362-AF-96 (Rev. 5) for the DN30 package). Additionally, some design changes are made to the 30B-X cylinder that resulted from manufacturing of and tests with 30B-10 cylinder prototypes. A summary of each implemented change to the package design, including a short discussion about its impact on the safety analysis, is provided in 0045-BSH-2020-001 (Rev. 4), section 2.1.2.2. Whenever necessary, references to more detailed analyses are provided as well.

The proprietary version consists of the complete SAR (including its appendices) and is being submitted to the Document Control Desk. This means that part of the information in this submittal is being withheld from public disclosure because it contains information proprietary to Orano NCS GmbH. The affidavit for withholding from public disclosure is documented in 0045-SVK-2025-005, submitted jointly with this application.

We would appreciate it if you could issue the revised CoC by September 2025 as mainly formal changes were made to the documentation and all changes related to the removal of the housing from the design of the DN30 PSP were already checked in detail in connection with the renewal of CoC USA-9362-AF-96 (Rev. 5) for the DN30 package.
