AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 9341 FOR THE MODEL NO. BEA RESEARCH REACTOR PACKAGE - REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Dear Chris Backus:
By letter dated August 26, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML24239A866), Orano Federal Services LLC submitted an amendment request for the Model No. BEA Research Reactor Package to (i) add, as authorized contents, the low enriched uranium versions of the currently authorized high enriched uranium research reactor fuels and (ii) encapsulated and segmented pressurized-water reactor fuel rod segments within a Rods-In-Tubes Canister basket. Your application was accepted for review on October 18, 2024.
In connection with our review, we need the information identified in the enclosure to this letter.
To assist us in scheduling our review of your responses, we request that you provide your responses within two months from the date of this letter. The staff is available to meet and discuss your proposed responses.
