Prior to sharing Critical Electric/Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) with a third party, the CEII Coordinator must determine whether to designate the information as CEII. Documents that have already been designated CEII are marked Designated Critical Energy/Electric Infrastructure Information (CEII) The following, along with a review by OGC staff, will help the CEII coordinator determine whether the documents prospectively being shared should be designated as CEII. Please provide the documents and this form to CEII@ferc.gov

CEII Coordinator Determination 1 Under the Fast Act, CEII is critical electric infrastructure information other than classified national security information. For questions regarding information that could potentially pose a threat to national security (e.g. Confidential, Secret, or Top Secret), staff should contact Security and Safety Division SAS_securityandsafety@ferc.gov, who will consult DOEs Classification Department for proper designation.
