Dear Jay Horin:
By letter dated February 27, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System
[ADAMS] Accession No. ML24067A128), Robatel Technologies, LLC (Robatel) submitted an application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the approval of model RT-200 Type B(U) cask. In the application Robatel requested that the NRC review Robatels Safety Analysis Report, revision 0, and approve a Certificate of Compliance for the model RT-200 Type B(U) cask.
We have completed the acceptance review of your application and determined that it contains sufficient technical information in scope and depth. Therefore, your application has been accepted for detailed technical review. However, the staff did identify observations to allow you to start earlier on items that may be asked at a later date. Observations are not the result of a detailed technical review and may be resolved once staff begins a detailed review. Responses to observations are not required for staff to begin its technical review.
Your application has been assigned Cost Activity Code/Enterprise Project Identification Number 001029/L-2024-NEW-0003. Please reference this number and Docket Number 71-9384 in any future correspondence associated with this request.
Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that could require that you provide additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by December 2024. The schedule includes the issuance, if needed, of a request for additional information (RAI) by August 26, 2024, and, provided that we receive your responses to the RAI within 45 days after its issuance, we anticipate issuing the Certificate of Compliance/Safety Evaluation Report by February 2025. transmitted herewith contains proprietary information.
When separated from the sensitive conditions in enclosure 1, this document and enclosure 2 are decontrolled.
