This email provides NRC confirmation that the Global Laser Enrichment, LLC. Program Cyber Security Plan (PCSP) GLEP-00015 submitted via letter dated November 13, 2023 (ML23335A135) has been approved. The formal approval letter and security evaluation report is undergoing administrative processing for issuance and will be finalized as soon as the Federal Register notice (FRN) containing the simple Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI) is published (e.g., likely the week of May 6).
The cover letter contains the following approval.
[T]he NRC staff finds the updated PCSP acceptable. Based on the RAI responses, site visit, technical discussions and review of the revised GLE submittals, as documented further in the non-public Enclosure 1, the NRC staff approves the GLE PCSP GLEP-00015R dated November 13, 2023 (ML23335A135).
The official approval package will be available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) package - ML24074A366 - in mid-May 2024, as soon as the FRN is published.
AWARENESS: The NRC staff recognizes that issuance of the standard practice procedure plan, transportation security plan, and PCSP approval letters took longer than originally projected. This was due to the identification midway through the review that GLE information security plans related to the facility clearance do not meet the criteria for a categorical exclusion in Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 51.22(c)(12) and therefore require development of an EA/FONSI for publication in an FRN. Going forward, staff is working to streamline the process based on experience with the recent reviews.
The estimates for future actions will account for the need to develop the EA/FONSI.

Thanks Matt. Do you know when we might get the PCSP approval letter is it soon? If it is taking awhile for approvals, knowing we have the AO approval, can we get an email saying the PCSP is approved and formal letter to follow? But if the letter is coming next week, then we can wait.
