FW: Acceptance for the SPPP Update, GLE-2022-065 Date: Wednesday, January 11, 2023 2:18:00 PM Pat, Below is the acceptance of the GLE SPPP updated, GLE-2022-065.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has completed the acceptance review of the Standard Practice and Procedures Plan (SPPP) for Global Laser Enrichment (GLE) letter dated November 30, 2022, (ADAMS Accession No. ML22342A437). The letter requests a review for approval for several updates to the SPPP to support compliance with 32 CFR 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual and several revisions to the security infrastructure. These updates represent a substantial change which require NRC approval under 10 CFR 95.19.

The NRC staff has determined there is sufficient information to accept the submittal for formal review. We identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID) L-2022-LLA-0179. Please reference this EPID number and Docket Number 07007033 in any future correspondence associated with this request.

Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that require additional information. The request seeks NRC approval by January 29, 2023. Although the NRC staff will seek to expedite this review, we anticipate completing it by April 27, 2023, based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review of your submittal will require approximately 40 staff hours which corresponds to about $11,520.00 ($288.00/hr).

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this email will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) and in ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The PDR is currently closed. You may submit your request to the PDR via e-mail at PDR.Resource@nrc.gov or call 1-800-397-4209 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.

Sincerely, Matt Bartlett Sr. Project Manager NMSS/DFM/FFL B 301-415-7154
