[External_Sender] Crystal River 3 LTP Challenges Date:
Wednesday, February 21, 2024 3:44:47 PM Gentlemen, We have encountered issues with received lab analysis information. Within the ground water results, we received trace indicators less than MDC for hard to detect ROCs, but they were greater than their Critical Limits. As we have encountered from time to time, we believe the lab results are inaccurate.
Insufficient sample quantities were present at the lab for further analysis, so we have resampled and provided these samples to our lab for reanalysis, which we have requested expedited results for. Our methodology we have documented within our LTP accounts for these results being less than their critical limits. We are also still waiting on soil results to be received for characterization efforts around the exterior of the power block to demonstrate the absence of contamination at depth. We anticipate receiving the soil analysis by the end of next week and we will finalize the calculations and table in their associated reports. We also have our newly developed DCGLs undergoing QC review, along with putting Survey Units back into our LTP chapter.
With all of the items mentioned above, Crystal River 3 requests an extension for the response to our Request for Additional Information by an additional 30 days. As discussed, our expected response is dated for 2/29/24. Please provide an extension granting the site until 3/29/24 for submittal of the RAIs. Thank you.
