3 COMMISSIONER GILINSKY: Let's proceed.

6 (Conference telephone call with Chairman Hendrie.)

MR. KELLEY: The first order of business is the General Order I talked about, extending time for reveiw in 7 adjudicatory and eri£orcement actions.

8 First of all, although it may not feel like it, 9 you* are now with a Commission meeting within the meaning of- th~

10 Government in the Sunshine Act under my new interpretation 11 that includes "squawk boxes."

12 COMMISSIONER HENDRIE: That seems to me ought I

tb 13 to be a useful extension of the Act.

14 "Bonjour" to my colleagues.

15 MR. KELLEY: Can we first have an affirmative vote.

16 Your colleagues, Acting Chairman Gilinsky and Commissioner 17 Bradford are here, along with. Howard Shapar and other friends.

18 And we can first have a vote to hold the meeting 19 on short notice?

20 COMMISSIONER HENDRIE: "Oui."

21 (Laughter. )

22 MR. KELLEY: The business before the house is 23 an order that would extend the time within which the Com-24 mission can review pending ALAB decisions, either on its 1 Ace-Federal Reporters, Inc.

25 own motion or upon a timely filed petition for review, and

3 also the time within which the Commission can review denials 2 of enforc:ement requests under 10 CFR 2.206, similar to an 3 order we had last s11-rn:mer when. we extended time for review in

- 4 5

6 similar situations.

I believe that all Commissioners have been ap-prised of the purpose of this. : i..

7 And can we have a vote on the order that would 8 accomplish this extension?

9 COMMISSIONER HENDRIE: r vote for it.

10 MR. KELLEY: Two more votes being registered, the 11 order is approved.

12 I guess Acting Chairman Gilinksy will pick up the 13 ball at this point.

14 COMMISSIONER . GILJNSKY"! Does that conclude our 15 business on this point?

16 MR. KELLEY: On this point, yes; we are done.

17 COMMISSIONER GILINSKY: I think we have to say 18 hello *to Joe. Good morning.

19 COMMISSIONER HENDRIE: Hi, Vic; how are you?

20 COMMISSIONER GILINSKY: Very good. This is really a new 21 first. I think we ought to say something like: What hath 22 God wrought?

23 (Laughter.)

24 Well, how are you feeling?

Ace-Federal Reporters, Inc.

25 COMMISSIONER HENDRIE: Fine. Circumstances

4 remarkably good.

2 COMMISSIONER GILINSKY: We a.11*.look forward to 3 getting you back here.

4 COMMISSIONER HENDRIE.: I hope to get back in the 5 Washington area early next week, and then see how (inaudible) 6 I am, able to (inaudible).

7 COMMISSIONER GILINSKY: Well, we will see how much 8 of that French sticks.

9 COMMISSIONER HENDRIE: Not much, I am afraid.

10 COMMISSIONER GILINSKY: Okay, then; over and out.

11 MR. KELLEY: 10-4.

12 COMMISSIONER GILINSKY: 10-4; yes.

13 COM.MISSIONER HENDRIE: Okay.
