General Comment I was never in favor of decommissioning the Indian Point power plant. This plant has provided safe and efficient power to the downstate area for many decades.
I spoke with assemblywoman Sandra Galef and told her that I was opposed to any waste from Indian Point being dumped into the Hudson River. General Electric dumped material from their plant into the Hudson and it has taken many years to clean up. I believe the clean up is still ongoing. No waste from Indian Point should enter the Hudson River.
Oversight should not be decreased by the NRC. It is important to have accurate tracking data for the spent fuel and where it will ultimately be stored.
