LOUISIANA ENERGY SERVICES - AMENDMENT 94, APPROVAL OF LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR ALTERATIONS TO THE PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN (LAR-21-01) (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER L-2021-SPR-0006)

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed the letter from Louisiana Energy Services, LLC (LES) doing business as URENCO USA, LLC dated August 10, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21236A084), requesting approval of an amendment to authorize alterations to the Physical Security Plan.
The NRC staff has reviewed the request and concludes that LES has demonstrated the changes to the final version of the Physical Security Plan for URENCO USA (LAR-21-01) are acceptable. The request provides reasonable assurance that the requirements for the physical protection of special nuclear material will be met and do not reduce the safeguards effectiveness of the physical protection program. Therefore, the amendment request is approved, and the date of the revised Physical Security Plan has been added to Materials License SNM-2010 license condition S-1, sub-section 10(d).
The review by the NRC staff is documented in the safeguards evaluation report, which is provided in Enclosure 1 to this letter. Enclosures 2 and 3 to this letter provide publicly available and non-publicly available versions of the amended Materials License SNM-2010, respectively.
This letter concludes action on this submittal and Enterprise Project Identifier L-2021-SPR-0006 is closed.
Enclosures 1 and 3 transmitted by this letter contain Security-Related Information.
When separated from Enclosures 1 and 3, this letter and Enclosure 2 are decontrolled.
