Dear Mr. Ebneter:
Pursuant to requirements contained in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10 Part 71.97, " Advance Notification of Shipment of Nuclear Waste", be advised that the GPU Nuclear Corporation, operators of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station, intend to deliver Low Level Radioactive Waste to a Common Carrier for transportation from the Oyster Creek Plant to the Barnwell, South Carolina Radioactive Waste Disponal Facility.
A total of Fourteen (14) shipments will be made starting the firat. week of August and ending in November.
Enclosed is a two (2) page attachment for the First shipment giving the specific details required by 10CFR 71.97 pertinent to the shipment. If a shipment is delayed or cancelled, you will be notified by telephone and/or in writing.
