FORT ST. VRAIN NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, AMENDMENT NO. 57 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. OPR-34 (TAC NO. 52634)

The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 57-to Facility Operating License No. DPR-34 for the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station.

This amendment consists'of changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) in response to your application dated June 25,.1987 (P-87124).

This amendment revises the Technical Specifications to ensure sufficient helium coolant flow to prevent overheating of tFr feel while in the low power or shutdoi Hes.

The staff was assisted in this review by our contractor, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).

ORNL wrote a Technica1 devaluation Report' (TER) concerning this amendment.

A copy of the Safety Evaluation with its attached ORNL TER is enclosed.
