Dear Congresscan Udall:

Lynn McFadden We read in our local paper that Leon Panetta and six other o g Rph e,N California Congressmen are asking for you to hold more hearings j Leigh smith on Diablo Canyon this time in San Luis Obispo. warren Smith You held a hearing a month ago and these Congressmen did not show up! c1

We agree with Congressman William Thomas that another hearing ~] will not accomplish anything. The anti-groups will never give ] up. You cannot satisfy their objections. [ Our Citizens for Adequate Energy Chapter with 500 members strongly l urges you to let the NRC fulfill its delegated responsibility without further public hearings. Let's stop the spectacle of public hearings'and let the NRC do its work. l - There has to be a time when "enough is enough" -- that time has l [ come! l We need statesmanship, not political action. 7 Sincerely yours, ~ s +: \\ y n J.
