Supplemental Information Regarding Revision to Technical Specifications 6.2 and 6.5.2
Dear Mr. Denton:
The purpose of this letter is to provide additional information requested by Staff concerning the minimum qualifications for membership on the your Nuclear Safety Review Committee, and the normal responsibilities of the Nuclear Coordinator (KG&E).
Members of the Nuclear Safety Review Committee have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or the Physical Sciences as appropriate and three years of professional level experience in the field of their speciality.
In special cases, eight years of experience in a specia'.ized field may be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
Credit toward experience may be given for advanced degrees.
The Nuclear Coordinator (KG&E), as a member of the Nuclear Safety Review Committee, will meet or exceed the aforementioned standard for committee membership.
The Nuclear Coordinator (KG&E) reports to the Group Vice President Technical Services.
He is responsible for coordination of activities between Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E) and the Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCN00).
In this capacity he will keep KG&E management informed of current WCN00 activities.
