MAR 181986 Frontier Technology Corporation ATTN: Edward F.'Janzow. Ph.D 1 President-2671 Crone Road Xenia, OH 45385 Gentlemen:
This refers to the application fees required for Materials License SIM-1957, which was issued July 22, 1985.
.In your letter of December 3,1985, to Dr. William Adam of the' Region III-Licensing staff, you stated that you consider the inclusion of source material in Subitam 6.F. of.the license to be in error since it was not specifically requested in your application.- In his December 19, 1985 reply, Dr. Adam explained why the source material was listed on the license but further stated that, although Subitem 6 F lists source material, Subitem 9.F effectively restricts your authorization to special nuclear material. There-fore. -the $350 application fee requested in our October 2,1985 letter _ for fee Category 2G of $170.31,10 CFR 170, is not required. However, the $350 application fee requested for fee Category 1K of 9170.31,10 CFR 170, remains due and payable for the special nuclear material listed in Subitems _6.D. and 6.F. of the license. Payment should be made to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commiission and usiled to the attention of Ms. Glenda Jackson of this office.
If you have any further questions concerning this matter, please let us know.
Sincerely, giped, C. Jamts licitewsp &
C. James Holloway, Jr.
