LaSalle County Station Unit 2 Proposed Amendments to Prl. mary Containment Isolation Valves Technical Specification for Facility Operating License NPF-18 NRC Docket No. 50-374 Reference (a): Federal Register Volume 51, No. 44 dated March 6, 1986.

Dear Sirs Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Commonwealth Edison proposes to amend Facility Operating License NPF-18. This amendment is being submitted for your staff's review and approval with Reference (a).

This change modifies the table of primary containment isolation vr.1ves to identify new excess flow check valves being installed during the second refuel outage. These valves are being added as part of a modification to isnprove the reactor water level instrumentation system as required by NUREG-0737, Item II.F.2 and Gt:neric Letter 84-23. Completion of this modification satisfies License Condition NPF-18, 2.C.(18)(c) which should be deleted from the Facility Operating License.

This proposed amendment is administrative in nature and is similar to one approved for LaSalle Unit 1 Amendment 34. That amendment dated j February 10, 1986 added an excess flow check valve (1CM 102) for containment flood up instrumentation. This amendment should become effective 45 days after approval.

l Commonwealth Edison has reviewed this docurcent and finds that no Olgnificant hazards exists. This review is documented in Attachment C.
