a.

For the individual component that is to be grouted, there is an "unsat" bearing IR generated as a result of inspection in accordance with ' Reference 1-A or 1-D.

When the design document specifies epoxy grouting of a component, an "unsat" bearing IR is not required.

b.

The maximum thickness of epoxy grout for use under base members shall not exceed the following values unless otherwise approved by the Engineer.

\\

1.

Inside Containment:

1"' chick maximum 1

2.

Outside' Containment:

1" thick maximum Gaps between mechanical equipment bases and the cement grout c.

(due to shrinkage) require specific instructions on an Operation Traveler issued in accordance with Reference 1-C.

d.

Pressure grout placement holes in baseplates/ members shall be located per Attachment #4.

e.

Pressure grout placement holes in equipment bases shall be drilled in accordance with the instructions provided by Engineering on an Operation Traveler.

Hole si:es shall be 1/4" Q or as specified by Engineering and do not require

- repair, for equipment base places or base plates /= embers.

f.

Shim material shall consist of steel shim plates or washers of a si:e necessary to allow proper Hilti bolt corquing without base place defor=ation.

g.

Installation of fittings on shear lugs shall be per Attach =ent #5.

h.

Surf aces to receive grout shall be free of foreign matter, i.e.,

dirt, oil; and shall be dry.

(Base members and equipment bases) 1.

For baseplates/ members attached to structural concrete using Hilti expansion anchors, Hilti's required to be to.rqued per Reference 1-G have been torqued.

Reference the torque IR #

on Attachment 1.

3.1.2 Placement During grout placerent the QC Inspector shall verify the following:

a.

Ceilcoce 658-N shall not be placed unless the surface temperature is at or above 50*F.

Infrequent dips in ambient temperature to 40*F are permissible during placement however the 9 apsed time the temperature is below 50*,F shall be 1

added to the cure time.

b.

The entire content of each of the following constituents has (N

been mixed as follows:

\\,

1.

Ceilcote 658-N Grout Liquid (Resin) 2.

Ceilcoce Hardener 3.

Mesh Silica Aggregate NOTE:

Mixes of smaller proportions shall be measured by the TUCCO Lab.

L.

The hardener has been added to the resin component and mixed thoroughly for 2 minutes.

The silica has been added and mixed j

thoroughly with no dry areas remaining.

2.

Potlife of mixed grout shall be discarded when first signs of setting occurs.

As a guideline potlife at 70*F will be a maximum of 30 minutes.

c.

Dial indicators are placed on mechanical equipment bases and l

readings are recorded on the Operatic: Traveler. Acceptance criteria for movement is listed on the Operation Traveler.

3.l.3 Post-? lace ent Insoection a.

QC shall monitor post placement of epoxy grouted installa-

[

tions as delineated in Paragraph 3.2 in order to verify that d
