i Idaho National tahoratory (INEL) has been contracted to assist in the review nf the Rancho Seco System Peview and Test program (SRTP) proposed by Sacramento j
Municipal Utility District (SMUD),

As the first step of the review process, INEL has reviewed the systems to be included in the program.
A request for additional information (RAI) was prepared following the initial INEL review of SRTP systems and transmitted to the utility on November 6,1986 (Ref. A).
SMUD responded to this pal on December 5, 1986 (Pef. R).
Our contractor has completed its review of the utility responses and concluded j
that all areas of concern have been resolved by the utility.

As a result of SMUD's commitments (docuirented in Ref. B) INEL has concluded j
that the systems included in the Rancho Seen SRTP constitute an adeouate scope j
for SRTP. The staff agrees with INEL's assessment.
