Dear Mr. Ward:

SUB.1FCT: RANCHO SEC0 NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION-SYSTFMS REVIEW AND TEST PROGRAM Our contractor, Idaho National Engineerino Laboratory (INEL), has completed its review of the list of selected systems as part of the Rancho Seco System Revie:w and Test Program (SRTP) Peview. The Review was based on systems which are assumed to operate in the Rancho Seco Accident Analyses as discussed in the Updated Safety Analysis Report (USAR Chapter 14, Amendment 4), and systems and components included in the Technical Specifications (Revision 73). In addition. INEL has als. completed its review of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District's (SMUD) responses to the concerns transmitted in our November 6,1906 request for additional information (RAI).

Based on its review, INEL has determined that the systems included in the Pancho Seco SPTP constitute an adequate scope for the SRTP. We aeree with INEL's assessment.

Wo therefore, conclude that the list of selected systems is acceptable. Our Safety Evaluation (SF) for this part of the STPP is included for your information.

Sincerely,
