1.0 SCOPE
1.1 This procedure covers repair by replacement of material or weids in plates 3/4" and under that have full thickness damage, or f rom any need requiring replacement.
2.0 REFERENCES
2.1 1977 ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section III, Subsection NE and Sec-ion IT., S'77 Addenda.
3.0 PROCEDURE
3.1 Repairs by welding from both sides (Limited to 2 sq. in.
and at least 2" or 8 t in any direction from a butt weld).
3 1.1 Weld in accordance with the contract weld procedure (Wide Gap Section of GWPS).
3.1.2 The repair area shall be 100% RT in addition to all NDE required on adjacent butt welds.
3.1.3 If the repair reauires leak chase, use the same material and welding details that are shown or the CBI contract drawings. Tie re. pair leak chase into the nearest existing test zone, and examine and test as required on that zone.

4.O MATERIAL: (Permanent) 4.1 The materi al used as insert plates shall meet the same MS and QAS as the vessel material. These plates shall have the proper identificatien for traceability either to the CTR's or to the mother plate.

5.0 DOCUMENTATION
5.1 Nonconformity to be listed on "Nonconformance Control List".
Repair to be controlled by " Repair Check List". All docu-mentation to be in accordance with Q. A. Manual.
5.2 Jobsite QA shall notify Engineering in writing of any changes to the Check Lists or Record Drawings (such as adding a seam or material) which the sobsite may have to initiate as a result of repairs made per this repair procedure.
A copy of the notification shall be filed with the contract records.
