SUBJECT:
DAILY HIGHLIGHT Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Unit 2 It is expected that Nine Mile Point 2 will be brought critical late today or early en May 21, 1987.
The low power license was issued on October 31, 1986 but because of leakage problems with the brll-type MSIVs the licensee replaced them with wye-pattern olobe valves. License amendments related to the MSIVs 7
were issued by NRR and construction deficiencies identified in the license were resolved by Pegion I.
These actions cleared the way for initial criticality.
