AUXILIARY SYSTEMS 9.1 General The auxiliary systems discussed in this section are those supporting systems which are required to ensure the safe operation, protection and servicing of the major plant systems and, principally, the Spent Fuel Pool Cooling system. In some cases the dependable operation of several systems is required to fulfill the above requirements and, additionally, certain systems are required to operate under emergency conditions.
The extent of the information provided for each system is proportional to the relative contribution of, or reliance placed upon the system in relation to the overall plant safety. The systems considered are:
