APPLICANTS' ELEVENTH PROGRESS REPORT Pursuant to the Board's "Memorendum and Order (Progress Report and Notice of Available Documents)" entered June 6, 1986, the Applicants submit herewith their eleventh "Progress Report."

This Progress Report covers the period March 1, 1988 through April 30, 1988.

The SRT has published Results Reports for all of the 47 Issue Specific Action Plans as well as for three Discipline Specific Action Plans.

The notice to CASE of the availability of the Working Files for Results Report VII.a.9 was filed on April'21, 1988.

Notices of Availability for all Results Reports, the Collective Evaluation Report, and the Collective Significance Report have now been filed.

Responses to the Board's 14 questions have been submitted for all of the published Fesults Reports.

The completed External Issues Matrix, Appendix D to the Collective Evaluation Report was published during the reporting period.

SRT approved errata pages to the Collective Evaluation Report were also published during the reporting period.

Corrective Action Program With the issuance of the notice of availability for the HVAC Project Status Report on March 3, 1988, notices of availability for all Project Status Reports have now been issued.

During the public meeting between the NRC Staff l

l and TU Electric on. December 9, 1987 and in a letter from the NRC Staff to TU Electric dated January 22, 1988, the l

NRC Staff requested additional information relating to the j

CPRT and CAP programs.

In addition to previous responses, on March 16, 1988 (TXX-88254) and April 14, 1988 (TXX-88373)

TU Electric provided further responses to the NRC Staff's requests.

TU Electric's responses to the Staff's requests l

were provided to the Board on March 29, 1988 and April 21, l

1988.

The NRC Staff issued Supplement 14 (Suppi: ent) i to the Safety Evaluation Report for Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station on March 9, 1988.

the staff's evaluation of Corrective Action Program efforts l

l associated with large and small bore piping and pipe supports.

Under the litigation schedule established pursuant to the Board's Memorandum and order of November 18, 1987 the discovery period for large and small bore piping and pipe supports expired on April 7, 1988.

On April 11, 1988 i

Intervenor CASE requested a ten day extension, until and i

including April 26, 1988, of the time period to specify the issues CASE is interested in and the basis for its interest in regard to the Project Status Reports dealing with large and small bore piping and pipe supports.

Applicants and NRC Staff stated that they had no objections to this extension, l

as documented in a letter to Ms. Ellis dated April 12, 1988.

Pursuant to the Board's Order discovery of CASE commenced on April 28, 1988.
