REVISED FINAL RULEMAKING - CRITERIA FOR THE
- RELEASE OF-INDIVIDUALS ADMINISTERED-RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS (PARTS 20 AND 35)
J The Inspector General Act requires that my office review proposed-statutes, regulations-and policies and to make. recommendations
- concerning their impact on agency programs and operations. The purpose of this review is to analyze the-statute, regulation or policies effect on the economy and efficiency of programs and 3
operations administered by the agency.
In accordance with that statutory obligation, the earlier draft of the current rulemaking, SECY-94-054, PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO 10 CFR PARTS 20 AND 35 ON CRITERIA FOR THE RELEASE OF PATIENTS
' ADMINISTERED RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL,-dated March 2, 1995, was the subject of an extensive commentary. In a memorandum' dated April 12, 1994 the agency provided a nine page response to those comments. At-this time, we have no additional comments on the substance of the rule.
