, Ts. t s d O r : r '. 10 not to be APPEbDIXA repr::*ua2d without specific approval of'IE:II NOTICE OF VIOLAlION General Electric Company Docket No. 70-1113 Wilmington Manufacturing Department License No. SNM-1097 As a result of the inspection conducted on July 25-29, 1983, and in accordance with the NRC Enforcement Policy, 47 FR 9987 (March 9,1982), the following violation was identified.

License Condition 2.1 requires the licensee to follos the current revision of his Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan.[

t Contrary to the above, the licensee ~ failed to correctly' c'alculate' limits of error which were entered on DOE /NRC-741 forms of uranyl nitrate receipts.

The licensee applied incorre.ct parameters to the limit of error calculation which resulted in limits of error being reported that were not determined at the 95% confidence level.

This is a Severity Level V Violation (Supplement III).

Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you are hereby required to submit to this of fice within thirty days of the date of this Notice, a written statemerit or explanation in reply, including: (1) admission or denial of the alleged viola-tion; (2) the reasons f-or the violation if admitted; (3) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (4) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations; and (5) the date when full compliance will be achieved. Consideration may be given to extending your response time for good cause shown.
