FREE STATE REPORTING, I C.
As noted in my October ll, 1984 memorandum, we have polled:the primary users of the Free State Reporting, Inc. (FSRI) contract regarding their views on continuation of the contract.
Memoranda containing their individual views have been forwarded to you.
On the basis of their views and our own experience, we have concluded. that ti.e FSRI contract should be terminated.
Although the users recognize that some improvements in timeliness of delivery and accuracy have been recently achieved by FSRI, we do not believe that the contractor's corrective measures will be sufficient to produce long term, consistently satisfactory results given his overall performance and failure to respond adequately in his earlier attempts to correct deficiencies.
As a related matter, we invite your attention to the letter of Octcber 1, 1984 from the NUS Corporation to FSRI which we sent you earlier.
Apparently, NUS has cancelled a portion of a service agreement with FSRI because they have many of the same complaints as our own users.
