STDf0 GRAPHIC REPOE.TIMG CON.TCET 1r. a vecerer.dm f rca S. J. Chin., Suretary, to you (une.ted), W. was asked for its views on whether Free State Reporting Inc. (FSRI) has teken correctivc ceesures, con:erning the quality na.d preeptnes: of their transcription service:.
The re:mrandun $dentified several cre.:nications betweer. the NP.C and F5RJ spanninc the tice perioc.e4 July 20,19M to September 24, 1984 The thrust.cf these r.ccrenications was that -FSM was warr.ed of its unsatisfactory performance on July 20, tugust 6, and.5epter:ber 14, 1984.
FSP.1 nsponded that its perforzance had recently been uporaded and FSR) felt that tts performance was now satisfactory.
By a copy of the neorandum from the Secretary, I was asked to tonraent.
TSRI was used to transcribe meetings and telephone conference calls concerning Cteanche Peak in which I participated on the following dates:
June 6. 1984 July 3. 1984 June 7,19M July 27,1984 l
June 6, ISM August 6, 1984 June 11, 1984 August 8, 1984 Jur+ 20,1934 August 9, 1984 September 18, 1984 l
The first ten transcripts were made by FSRI personnel. These suffered from a host of prchlems (see enclosure).
The lest transcript (Septerf.>er 16,19FA) was reported by 5. Mexis Cain of keel R. Gross and Company es subcontractor to FSE3.
It was of good quhlity.
Please note that I have no exemples of T5RI transcripts i
by FSRI personnel since early August 1954.
Therefore, I sur unable to judge whether i
F5RI has or het not implemented corrective actions in response to their wttnines.
