SUBJECT:
CORRESPONDENCE RELATED TO EMERGENCY PLANNING AT SHOREHAM The enclosed letters to Richard C. DeYoung, NRC, and NRC Chairman Palladino dated October 4, August 22 and April 12, 1984 from Mr. Joseph Carpenter express his concerns regarding the apparent lack of an adequate radiological emergency response plan for the evacuation of the public for incidents at the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station.
In his letter dated October 4, 1984, Mr. Carpenter requested that his remarks including his previous correspondence be entered into the minutes of the Hearing Board.
In our response to Mr. Carpenter, we indicated that we would fomard his cor-respondence to the Hearing Board for consideration. Accordingly, Mr. Carpenter's correspondence along with our response is enclosed for your information.
