Dear W . Naus:
l On October 4,1983. the first draft of the ORNL report. " Evaluation of )
Containment Laak Rate Testing Criteria." was sent to ma for review. This ,
uns reasonably close to the original target date for draft submittal of !
September 1983. The forwarding letter noted that the draft would be sent l
/
to the publications office by October 10.
I understand from the monthly progress reports and from a followup call to you, that this draft is still not ready for issue. Although originally there was no urgency regarding the report's publication date, there is now.
due to this lengthy delay. At this point, delivery of the final report cannot be delgyed beyond mid-March at the latest. I need it to interface with our internal review of the Appendix 7 submittal to the ACRS.
The protracted publication period reflects negatively on ORNL's ability to '
deliver a finished product in a timely manner once the technical phase is complete. I hope that this can be corrected and final reports delivered efficiently.
