4.0 NOTES AND PRECAUTIONS 4.1 Prior to performing the tests called for in this test instruction, assure that the test equipment called for in Section 3.0 is available and that the pre-requisites of Section 5.0 have been completed.
4.2 Personnel scheduled to perform the test should familiarize themselves with the reference documents and the test procedures called for herein prior to performing tests.
- Except for the small volume cask positioner, these items are prototype units.

o Control Cabinet & Cables & Graphic Panel o Sample Str. tion including gas vial positioner and syringe; less shielding o Piping station o Small Volume Cast Positioner 5.2 Manufacturer's testing is complete for the specific items including:
o 1200 psi hydrostatic test on liquid system. Remove 0-50 pressure transducer (PI-662) fran the line in the liquid tray for this test.
o 40 psi pneumatic test on gas system o Control Panel, Graphic Panel and cables tested on sample station simulators, o Trap T-717 in the gas tray has been filled with water to the point where the level switch comes on as determined by a continuity check. Drain the water and verify the switch goes off. Record the approximate volume required to actuate the switch.
400 d 5.3 Service systems are provided and connected as follows:
o All electrical cables between the control cabinet and sample station and FET 664 on the piping station o Two sources of 115 Volt power connected to the control cabinet o 100 PSI Nitrogen connected to the control cabinet o Temporary tubing from the control cabinet to the sample station and from the sample station to the piping station.
o Freon connected to the sample station at the demin flush water pipe with the valve number CV-628 Freon connected to the sample station at the Tracer gas inlet pipe o

5.4.2 Reference pg. 8 of Beckman Instruction Manual Turn range selector switch to 0.1 multiplier position using lower scale.
Loosen the two front panel thumb screws and slide out the instrument chassis.
Slide switch S203 (see Figure 6 of B'eckman Instruction Manual) to the "zero" i
position. Adjust the mechanical zero on the meter. Move S203 to full scale position and adjust R277 so that the pointer is at the full scale mark.
Return S203 to the " Normal" nnsition.
Set the Scale on tne 0.1 range.
5.5 Check Rad Monitor meter operation.
5.5.1 Reference pg. 26, item 3C of Eberline Instruction Manual.
Remove two screws holding the long narrow vertical cover plate adjacent to the meter.
Depress the alann set switch (S-6) upward.
The high level alann set point will be displayed on the meter.
Adjust the pot directly above the switch for 10% of scale.
Depress the alann set switch downward. The alert set point will be displayed. Adjust the pot directly below the switch to 1% of scale.
Replace cover plate.
5.5.2 Turn, Power Source Switch to 0FF 5.6 Pressure, temperature and flow instrument calibration by their manufacturer are accepted as the instruments are delivered.
6.0 EQUIPMENT LIST 6.1 The equipment to be tested by this test instruction are those items listed in paragraph 5.1.
Other pieces of equipment required for the test listed in Section 3.0 are for support purposes only.
7.0 INSTRUMENTATION 7.1 Instrumentation items are specified in the data sheets of the fabrication specification C5474-SP2 and are indicated on the MFD drawings for the gas and liquid sampling systems C5474-E-101 and C5474-E-102 respectively.
7.2 The functional operation of the instruments will be verified in conjunction with the testing of the entire sampling system as called for in Section 8.0

This instrument has a built-in source for testing its operation and settin'g its threshold for sensitivity. An &ccurate calibration is not required.
8.0 TESTING PROCEDURE AND DATA SHEETS 8.1 Turn on N and other utilities, set N regulator for 100 psi.

8.1.1 Adjust PCV-627 for 3 psi. Verify zero flow. Adjust pointer on valve FCV-627 to show valve closed.
Increase pressure to 15 psi at PCV-627 and observe valve stem on FCV-627 rise and settle with pointer at 100% open.
Reduce pressure and note that valve moves toward closed.
8.1.2 Adjust PRV-714 for 2 psi, may have to bleed line downstream of PRV-714.
8.1.3 Turn on demineralized sample water to inlet for CV-624 and CV-625 8.1.4 Turn all switches to UP and 0FF position.
Turn on Power, select source "A" Note Source "A" light is lit.
