Dear Ms. Stewart:
This letter is in response to your letter of March 29, 1984, which forwarded a request for " Revocation of Low Power License and Denial of a Full Power Operating License for Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit 1" (Petition) on behalf of Jacksonians United for Livable Energy Policies.
The Petition has been considered under 10 CFR 2.206 of the Commission's regulations.
For the reasons stated in the enclosed " Director's Decision under 10 CFR 2.206," the Petition has been denied.
We will provide you under separate cover a copy of the authorization for full power operation and supporting safety evaluation report that may provide additional information regarding the issues you raise.
A copy of this decision will be filed with the Secretary for the Commission's review in accordance with 10 CFR 2.206(c).
As provided in 10 CFR 2.206(c),
this decision will become final action of the Comission in 25 days, unless the Commission determines to review-the decision within that time.
