The Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has found that:

The application for amendment to the license for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 2 (the facility) f.iled by the Southern California Edison Company on behalf of itself and San' Diego Gas a.nd Electric Com California (pany, The City of Riverside and The City of Anaheim, licensees) dated July 23, 1982, as' supplemented by letters dated August 16, 1982, December 17, 1982, January 28, 1983, January 25, 1984 and April 13, 1984 complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act) and the Comission's regulations as set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; B.
The facility will operate in conformity with the application, as amended, the provisions of the Act, and the regulations of the Comission; C.
There is reasonable assurance:
(1)thattheactivitiesauthorized by this amendment can be conducted without endangering -the health and safety of the public, and (ii) that such activities will be conducted in compliance with the Comission's regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; D.

- 2. ' Accordingly, the license is amended by changes to the Technical Specifica-tions as indicated in the attachment to this license amendment, and paragraph 2.C(2). of Facility Operating License No. NPF-10 hereby amended to read as follows:

The Technical Specifications contained in Appendix A and the Environ-mental t'rotection Plan contained in Appendix B, as revised through knendment No.
24, are hereby incorporated in the license. SCE shall operate the facility in accordance with the Technical Specifications and the Environmental Protection Plan.

INSTRUMENTATION 3/4.3.3 MONITORING INSTRUMENTATION RADIATION MONITORING ALARM INSTRUMENTATION LIMITING CONDITION FOR OPERATION 3.3.3.1 The radiation monitorin'g alarm instrumentation channels shown in Table 3.3-6 shall be OPERABLE with their alarm / trip setpoints within the specified limits.*

4.3.3.1 Each radiation monitoring alarm instrumentation channel shall be demonstrated OPERABLE by the performance of the CHANNEL CHECK, CHANNEL CALIBRATION and CHANNEL FUNCTIONAL TEST operations for the MODES and at the frequencies shown in Table 4.3-3.
