Revised Operating Data Reports for January - October, 1983 In December, 1982, the first stage blading of the high pressure turbine of the Omaha Public Power District's Fort Calhoun Station failed. Subsequent to this failure, the blading was removed.
This removal effectively reduced the station's maximum dependable capacity (gross MWe and net MWe) from design values of 501 and 478, respectively, to 461 and 438, respectively.
The decision to utilize the reduced values was not made until October, 1983. However, in order to accurately reflect operating conditions between January and October, 1983, it was necessary to perform revised calculations for these months. The changes to the attached Operating Data Report pages are denoted by vertical black lines in the right-hand margin.
It should be noted that all calculations performed af ter October, 1983 have utilized the revised values. These pages are therefore being provided to achieve consistency between the pre-October and post-October, 1983 monthly operating reports.
