l FOR EAXT0!', PE!!NSYLVAMI A, REACTOR The Atomic Energy Commission proposes to issue a full-term operating license to Oaxton Nuclear Experimental cor-poration for the company's nuclear reactor located at Saxton, Pennsylvania, 20 miles southeast of Altoona.
The company has been operating the reactor under a orovisional operating license issued by the Commission on November 15, 1961.
Saxton has applied for a full-term license which would expire on April 13, 1967.
The Saxton reactor is a pressurized water facility which operates at a power level of approximately 1,250 net electrical kilowat ts.
The primary purpore of the Saxton facility is research and development.
~ ^ reactor is con-nected to a turtine generator-for the pr; uction of elec-1 tricity at the.Saxton steam generating p1;.t of Pennsylvania Electric Company.
