jl' INTRODUCTION'

[i This semi-annual report covers the period of-December 27,7 1989, through June 27, 1990.

These dates were chosen 1so as'-to' match as closely as possible the endfof the calendar period with-s L

sampling performed under the DAEC Surveillance Testing = Program H

(STP).

The dates, therefore, accurately; reflect the szmpling r,

periods for gaseous effluents and areflimited by'the quarterly composite sampling dates for Strontium 89 and: 90.

There were no liquid releases from DAEC during the semi-annual period covered by this report.

No. changes were.made to:

the Offsite Dose Assessment Manual (ODAM) orito the Process Control Plan (PRCP) during the period' covered by this report.

Likewise, there were no abnormal occurrences during the semi-.

annual period that would have required.special reporting per the Duane Arnold Energy Center Technical Specifications.

During the reporting period, Iowa Electric completed a spent-fuel pool clean-up project.

Consequently, there were several shipments of irradiated hardware / material to burial sites.
