-5 575 J. A. Black Division of Organization and Personnel MEDICAL CONSULTANT C01".PE!!SATIO'l REll3URSEMENT IE is aware of the situation' wherein various consultants are receiving different levels of compensation.
In fact all but one of IE's medical consultants were authorized by me to receive SCO per day for their service time: Dr. Reynold Brown, Dr. Belton Burrows, Dr. James Maxfield Jr., Dr. Eugene Saenger, and Dr. George Tho.a.
Only Dr.
Niel itald is receiving a different amount - $135 per day.
IE considers Dr. !!ald - and the other doctors on retainer - as among the very best specialist in radiation health in this country.
These same medical consultants can earn $300-$400 per day if employed by the very same firms and organizations IE is investigating.
Obviously, these medical consultants are worth being recompensed at a higher level.
IE recomends that contracts with all medical consultants be amended to increase their compensation to 5135/ day.
