  • 23' License No. NPF-3 A82-493B Serial No. 833 June 28, 1982 Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Attention: Mr. John F. Stolz Operating Reactor Branch No. 4 Division of Operating Reactors United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555

Dear Mr. Stolz:

By letter dated May 11,1982, (Log No. 989) a request for additional information on an application for license amendment on Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. I was received. The request involves the DNBR Rod Bow Penalty for the Cycle 3 Core and what justification Toledo Edison has for determining the worst case penalty.

The Toledo Edison submittal dated March 5, 1982, (Serial No. 787) contains Table 6-2 which includes the basis for determining the worst case rod bow penalty. Per conversation with your Mr. Al DeAgazio, the above referenced table contains adequate information to address the subject concern.

Very truly yours,
