SLMWW OF OPEPATING EXPERIENCE UNIT 'INO May, 1982 5-1 to 5-6 Unit Two entered the month operating at a power level of 771 W e and operated until 1021 hours0.0118 days
0.284 hours
0.00169 weeks
3.884905e-4 months
on my 6th when a Reactor Scram occurred due to hi flux trip / contractor error. A contractor (Bechtel) opened an energized cubical for pot fuses.

5-6 to 5-14 A quick turnaround was performed and the Unit placed on the grid again until May lith when a scheduled shutdown was per-formed. %is forced shutdown was due to a GE/CDCo directive of a 11ydrogen Addition Test to reduce oxygen levels in the BWR.

In addition, other general maintenance was performed, i.e. change oil in recirculation pumps.

5-14 to 5-28 During this period the Unit was unable to operate at rated We due to bearing temperature alarms on the recirculation pumps. The new oil to the pumps was determined not to have the heat transfer characteristics as expected.

5-28 to 5-31 A short shutdown was performed on the 28th to change the oil in the recirculation pumps. W e Unit exited the period at 535 We (increasing 5 We/hr).

sum ARY OF OPERATING EXPERIH CE LNIT 'DIREE

,t May, 1982 s

I 5-1 to 5-9 Unit t ree had just completed a refueling outage. h is period was devoted to scram / start-up testing, turbine testing and low power operation.

5-9 to 5-15 Iow power operation continued, however, L. P. fdedwater control problems occurred during the entire period. On the 15th the Unit was placed in hot-standby while work was performed on the heater control problem.

~

5-15 to 5-31 The Unit was placed back on the line and exited the period at 773 We (5 me/hr increase).
